How much should a website cost a small business in Coimbatore?
JEEVA ANANTH V · 7 OCTOBER 2026
Ask five people in Coimbatore to quote for a business website and you will get five very different numbers. One person says ₹8,000. Someone else says ₹1.5 lakh. Both of them might be quoting honestly. They are just not quoting for the same thing.
So instead of giving you one number, here is what actually changes the price, so you can read a quote properly.
The cheap end: a template with your logo on it
At the lowest prices you are usually buying a ready-made theme with your name, photos and phone number dropped in. For a lot of businesses that is fine. If you run a clinic or a small shop and people mostly want your timings, your address and a number to call, a clean template does the job.
Where it goes wrong is when you need the site to do something. Take bookings. Accept payments. Show stock. Send enquiries to the right person. Templates get stretched to do these things with plugins, and every plugin is one more thing that can break or slow the site down.
What pushes the price up
These are the things that genuinely take more work, in roughly the order they add cost:
- Payments and orders. UPI and card payments, order emails, GST invoices, refunds. Getting money right takes care.
- Bookings or appointments. Slots, clashes, reminders, a way for your staff to see the day.
- Anything with a login. Customer accounts, a dealer portal, an admin panel for your team.
- Connecting to things you already use. Your billing software, Tally, a Google Sheet your accountant lives in, WhatsApp.
- Content you need written. If nobody has written the text for your pages yet, someone has to.
Design matters too, but it is rarely what makes a quote ten times bigger. The features are.
What you should get no matter what you pay
Some things should not be extras:
- The site loads fast on a normal phone on mobile data.
- It works properly on mobile, not just "shrinks".
- You own the domain, in your name.
- You can get the code or at least a full export if you leave.
- Basic search setup is done: page titles, a sitemap, Google Search Console.
If a quote does not mention who owns the domain and the code, ask before you pay anything.
How to compare two quotes
Put them side by side and check three things. Does each one list the same pages and features? Is hosting included, and for how long? What happens after launch if something breaks? A cheaper quote with no support after the first month often ends up costing more.
What we do
We do not have a price list, because a bakery's site and a manufacturer's dealer portal are not the same job. What we do instead is a free technical review: we look at what your business actually needs the site to do, then give you a written scope and a fixed price. If a simple template site is all you need, we will tell you that, even though it means a smaller job for us.
If you want a straight answer for your business, book a review or write to info@dynetrix.in.
